5 stars. My son loves his DS. There is a new model of the DS coming out next year. That is the only problem with buying one now, is that kids will want the new model next year.
The battery life is quite long if you follow directions on how to help save. What a wonderful Christmas present for all ages. There are so many games to choose from and it is small enough to carry in pocket and purse. So give someone a gift they will enjoy for a long time. Find out who else you know has one and you can trade off games.
Due to the wide selection of games for the system, there are always a few that are of interest to each of use. The "Nintendo DS" game system is a fantastic portable gaming platform. We have one for each member of our family (son 12, daughter 16, wife 47, me 44). One of the best features is the ability to connect to each other's games and play multiplayer games (we really like The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and Animal Crossing: Wild World). The battery life is fantastic and the units are fairly durable (two of ours are now glued "open", but still work fine).Highly recommended.
plenty of games to play on the ds and the color now for girls too.
We are in our mid 60's. We each got a DS and found hours and hours of portable entertainment. New York Times Cross Words, Brain Age, Solitare, Sudoku all great adult fun.
